I just returned to Canmore from another great training camp. This time we were working hard on the trails and roads of Salt Lake City and Park City, and I must say there are a lot of superb roads with lots of climbing to roller ski and hundreds of km of running and biking trails.
In 10 days of training we haven’t roller ski twice in the same location. Every day, Justin “The Coach” was showing us new, amazing road with some serious climbing, which I loved. In average, per 4hr workout, we were gaining at least 1000m of elevation. Weather was great, sunny, hot and not a single day of raining.
Long story short… Training plan 100% complete, "The Coach" satisfied and we are all tired :) . Well not too tired, but exactly where we want to be at this time of year. There was not too much of intensity and strength sessions, mostly long hours and slow pace training as high as possible.
Unfortunately we will stay and recover in Canmore only for a week. On October 2nd team will be going for a 7-day training in Whistler, BC and there we will work on our speed. One Time Trial and pretty much intensity every day are expected.
After Whistler we coming back to Canmore and praying for early snow and cold weather, so we could prepare for a first World Cup racing in Norway.
